Jennifer & Jonathan's Engagement Session

I am so excited to be posting these!  I love it when I get to know my couples before their special day!  I cannot tell you how awesome Jennifer and Jonathan are.  I mean, c'mon who else can pull off a red polka dot bow tie?  And have you ever seen someone kick their heels up AND hold it as well as Jennifer can?  This couple is not only hilarious and fun but look at absolutely stunning they are.  Their love is quite evident and they were obviously made for one another.  I loved how at times it seemed like  I was photographing them in their own little world.

This lovely couple met back in 2010 and started dating a year later.  How the proposal went down October 11, 2012...

After much discussion and planning, the couple went to look at engagement rings. After a day of shopping, Jennifer found her dream ring, but Jonathan was hesitant to purchase it with her present. They ended up not buying the ring that day. Months later, after further discussion and planning, they went engagement ring shopping again and Jonathan decided to buy the ring on the spot. Jennifer was elated yet nervous because before they had walked into the store, he stated he would not be asking for her hand that same day. After the emotional purchase, they went home to relax and prepare for their evening plans.

They were driving with their dog in the car and Jonathan asked their dog Lilli, "Lilli, should I ask your mommy to marry me tonight?" And she barked once immediately after his inquiry. He then said, "Are you giving me permission to ask for your mom's hand in marriage tonight?" Immediately, Lilli barked once after the question. Apparently Lilli had never done anything like that before.  Jonathan said that was the inspiration he needed to clarify the special moment for him.  Upon their arrival home, he knelt down on one knee, opened the ring box, and stated, "Jennifer, I have waited my entire life for someone as special as you to be my wife. I love you so much. Will you marry me?" I squealed with pure joy and surprise "YES! YES! It was one of the best days of both of our lives.
